From now through the year 2007 you can give more, for less, than ever before. The "Montana State Tax Credit for Endowed Philanthropy" extends a meaningful tax credit to individuals and corporatins.
The tax credit encourages individuals to make planned gifts of "capital assets" which in many instances actually increases immediate spendable income for the individual.
For businesses the tax credit allows them to give outright gifts to charitable endowments. The credit enables corporations to greatly increase their giving for the same out of pocket expense.
